MCFREY.COM represents; convenors , organizers and participants in all amateur sports.
The job of this site is to provide a tool which can be used to benefit these people all under one neutral and trustworthy domaine name.
In the year of 1990, several events were started revolving around amateur sporting tournaments. This group of organizers decided that those events were a relatively easy way to raise funds for local charities and non-profit groups because people were having fun while participating.
In 1998, the group then decided to use the internet to pass on scheduling, rules, and other data for those events to help the organizers better communicate with the participants. In those two years, many more events were developed but the group found it much more efficient to produce a computer program that would not just help our events but all amateur sporting events.
One of the group leaders asked if he could name this neutral site in honour of his father (who introduced him to sports at a very young age). Thus MCFREY.COM was created.
MCFREY.COM is a metaphor to the hammer. Anyone using a hammer knows what it is capable of but individuals using the hammer may have different purposes and techniques of using this tool. The outcome depends on ones interest and training. With this in mind, carpenter or not, anyone can use this tool as anyone can use this website.
We know that this site will benefit many people and we are excited to see MCFREY.COM work for you!
Thank You!
